2

My wife is a Structural Engineer and is looking for a job. She has been unemployed for the last 2 years as she did not have a VISA to work in united states. Now she has employment authorization. She has a Masters in Computer Aided Structural Commerce and a bachelors in Civil Commerce. She has two years of experience in designing thermal Power plants. Softwares comfortable with are STAA,AutoCAD and Excel . Her work experience was in India and there units and codes used are different from what they use here. She is looking for a access level position and we are currently based in Atlanta, GA. I request you to please email sravup@gmail. com if you know of any requirements. TIACorrection :Softwares are STAAD, AutoCAD and ExcelWe are OK to relocate as long as the place is a medium/huge city. I searched B&W website for access level structural engineer oppurtunities but it did not show any. There are some oppurtunities listed in barberton,oh. Probably you were implying that? Anyway we are gonna apply there and see what is in our fate. If any of you have are aware of any requirements in your organization, please let us know. TIA

she should not have a problem finding a job in the US. structural commerce is the same everywhere. units can be converted. she seems highly marketable. she can try a defense contractor such as boeing or lockheed martin. not all jobs there require a security clearance so she should be okay. also ch2m hill is the largest civil commerce firm I can reckon of. there are many opportunities.

There is a chance you may have to go to get a power plant type job. I know that B&W in Massilion Ohio is looking for structural engineers. If you do not want to go, than have her look at Commerce firms that do buildings they always need a excellent structural engineer.
