Are you having a hard time getting an entry-level civil engineering position?
I recently graduated and I cannot seem to get a job to save my life. I have fantastic grades and some internship experience. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?!?!

I despise to say it, but Civil Commerce jobs are scarce right now– especially access-level. Because of the economy, people just aren’t building things like they were a couple years ago. Of course, some states might be better off than others, so you might broaden your horizons and look at jobs that might involve relocating to another area. It also takes a small while to get a job at once after graduating, so don’t get discouraged.
What you should do is take your resume to several different companies, attend events (like local ASCE meetings) and get your name out there– finding work has a lot to do with networking and a lot more to do with persistence. Stick with it. Don’t give up!
G’luck.
