say you become an automotive technician for 2 years and your excellent at it making 40k-45k a year and you just finished your bachelors in mechanical commerce and you can find a couple of access level commerce jobs for around 35k-40k do you take the new jobs to gain experience in the field or would you stay as an automotive technician until you get a masters or doctorates when you expect to get a job that pays 60k-70k right off the bat? What would you do? i obviously want to become a mechanical engineer because you work more comfortably and you can advance all the way to 6 figure jobs. where it seems a excellent master automotive technician or automotive mechanics manager might top out at 60-70k

Remember that entering into commerce at the bottom is simpler than entering at the top. With experience you can reach that salary without studying further. And working in commerce you can still study as well. If you have practical experience in any mechanical field it will beyond doubt give you an advantage.
