Should I find an electrical engineering job now , or wait a month or two ?
I am currently working as a secretary making $12/hour . I am also working at a ware house for $15/hour. My plot for my the first steps to a better future is to save up some cash now (* close to a $2000-$3000) Then quit this job and start looking for an access level electrical commerce job. But some people are saying I am WAY UNDER PAID right now and I should find an commerce job right now. But the truth is there are no jobs in my place and If i need to find one I will probably need to relocate . So that's why I am saving up the cash . Currently i am living with my parents. I also have payments like car and insurance and all which adds up to $800 a month . This job is like a crutch to me . Do you reckon this is a excellent plot ? To save up enough cash before starting to go for interviews . ( Most of my jobs are in connecticut and pennsylvania , and i live in new york , so i'll probably have to relocate if i find a job , so it's it better to have some cash in my bank before __ I start going for interviews and have no cash to pay for the car , or insurance )p. s : do you also reckon I should start applying for jobs starting right now . ( i didn't do that yet because what's the point if I get an interview appointment like next week , i wont' be able to go for that )

it’s always a excellent idead to save, and if that’ll help you better your situation, then by all means do it.
you’re more than salutation to apply for whatever jobs you like right now, but don’t expect to hear from them until after the new year. Most firms/companies halt all hiring processes over the holidays, and even if they are accepting applications, they’ll be busy closing whatever year-end details they have going, not starting new hire procedures.
My advice is to get your resume in order and get it out there. it never hurts to look, and you’d be surprised what might turn up.
Typically an electrical engineer has a college degree in electrical commerce. Do you? There is currently no shortage of jobs for electrical engineers particularly in the energy fields. If you have a degree, you can look online for jobs in any major metropolitan area somewhere in the world and many major companies will glide you to where the interview is. At an electrical engineer’s salary you can afford to live somewhere. The real question is where you want to live.
If you do not have an electrical commerce degree, I recommend that you learn AutoCAD and do drafting at an commerce firm and go to school at night to get a degree or get grants (not loans) and go to school and work part time.
