Apply for a job at McDonalds as a fry cook.

I would say to go online and look, then submit a resume online or go there physically for an interview.

Finding an access level job is tough in a field as competitive as mechanical commerce is now. You have a lot of work to do if you just got out of college and didn’t set up any groundwork. Internship experience helps, having passed the FE or EIT may be impressive…

Look on your school’s job listings, call companies and see if they have openings, send your resume all over the place, and if things don’t take off at once, just give it some time.

I have a friend in civil commerce who got a really sweet gig out of school working as an aerospace engineer. To get it though, he had to have tons of job experience, and tons of related involvement at school in mechanical commerce type organizations and projects. It takes a lot of work for some fields these days.

If all else fails, join the military. They like getting people with degrees.

I just graduated in Mechanical Commerce, and my best resource was my school career center, which is something that most schools have. Send your resume to any company that posts job openings that you are interested in, and try to get a lot of interviews. Even if you end up sending a resume for something you’re not extremely interested in, just going to the interview is excellent experience, and will make you a better contender.

Also, a few essentials:
–Excellent GPA, typically above a 3.0 is pretty excellent for a renowned commerce school (Possibly higher for an average school?)
–Intern/Co-op experience. Pretty much all companies want to hire people who have previous experience.
–Involved in extracurriculars, even better if they are related to ME.
(this was always a excellent conversation point for me in my interviews– my commerce-related activities)

Also, use any connections you might have with friends and family at possible companies. They might be able to point you to the right person to talk to at their company who is looking for an access-level ME.
Also, a lot of times major companies list their job openings online, and you can submit your resume that way, so you might try doing that.
Excellent luck!
